Coogee Family Fun Day

By Dan Hutton on November 17, 2010 in News

Coogee will come alive again for this year for the 16th annual Coogee Family Fun Day, taking place on Saturday, December 4 at Goldstein Reserve.

Regarded as the unofficial opening of the local festive season, Coogee Family Fun Day is a great way to start your Christmas shopping with over 60 market stalls catering for all tastes and budgets. Whether you’re after artworks for your home or a fedora for your head, or even that special something for a love one, you will not leave disappointed.

Being a fun day for the whole family, the kids are certainly not forgotten. There’ll be plenty of hair-raising rides, a petting zoo and a great afternoon of entertainment featuring local performers on the main stage.

Bernie Cinders will be visiting with his own NSW fire engine, bringing with him face painting, balloon twisters and home fire demonstrations by the NSW Fire Brigade.

?This year organisers are also proud to support Oxygen Personal Training Studio’s ‘Push up for Charity Challenge’, a great community event and a fantastic way to get fit and raise money. Get someone to sponsor you 50 cents a push up, challenge yourself or your mates, and see how many push ups you can punch out in 90 seconds.

As always, all the money raised from Coogee Family Fun Day will go to the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. Over the past 16 years the Fun Day has been able to donate in excess of $150,000 to this wonderful cause.

A number of market stalls are still available on the big day and present a great opportunity for local businesses to spruik their wares. For more information about both the stalls and Coogee Family Fun Day in general, please call Bernadette on 0408 115 672.
