The Young King Comes To Bellevue Hill Village Fair

By Dan Hutton on March 30, 2011 in News

A twelve-year old Elvis impersonator is set to have his moment of glory this Sunday, April 3, when he performs in front of his local community at the Bellevue Hill Village Fair.

David Mekler-Peled (pictured) will be one of many locals who will take to the stage at the event’s new Talent Quest.

David has been hooked on performing Elvis songs since the age of three, and his unique talents have not gone unnoticed.

He won three top titles at the Parkes Elvis Festival earlier this year, including first place in the Clubs NSW Busking Competition, and the Junior Elvis Lookalike Competition.

Other gifted performers are encouraged to perform at the Talent Quest for a chance to win $500 cash.

Participants must register their interest by completing an application form, available from participating Bellevue Hill businesses, prior to the event.

Event organiser, Maria Marando, said this year’s event will be well attended with many new rides and attractions on offer.

“We have had an enormous amount of support and enthusiasm from local business owners and we expect the talent competition to draw a huge crowd,” she said.

Adults will enjoy in-store promotions and children will be entertained by pony rides, an animal farm, roaming clowns, and face painting.

There will also be a wide range of stallholders with goods including jewellery, toys, handmade crafts, food, clothes, giftware and free wine sampling.

If you would like to book a stall call Maria on 0402 248 410 or Lisa on 0412 205 343.

Admission to the Fair is free and rides will be ticketed.

The Bellevue Hill Village Fair is supported by Woollahra Council and in its second year.
