Bondi Harvest has made another step towards worldwide domination, opening up a new arm of the business at The Eastern in Bondi Junction.

Guy Turland, who operates Jo and Willy’s Depot in North Bondi and has achieved a substantial following through his YouTube recipe clips, said the move to The Eastern was the first step towards commercialising Bondi Harvest as a brand.

“It’s merely the first step to us taking it overseas and it’s a great way for us to fine tune the brand in a real world sense,” he said. “We know that the videos are great and the recipes are super tasty. We are true to the brand. There’s no bullshit behind it.”

Mr Turland is thrilled to be moving to the first floor of the iconic venue, which is situated right in the heart of Bondi Junction.

“The venue itself is set up perfectly for what we want,” he said. “The kitchen is a super set-up and that is a really important part of running a restaurant.

“The location is next level. We’ve basically got four entrances with some of the heaviest foot traffic in Sydney. The amount of people that walk past that shop every day and every week is just mind-blowing.”

“We’re offering something that’s not in the Junction. The goal is to offer an oasis away from the hectic shopping scene and offer a dining experience that isn’t there at the moment.”

Bondi Harvest opened at The Eastern in mid-December.
