How long have you lived here?
I have lived in the Eastern Suburbs my whole life. I grew up in Waverley and started surfing down at Bronte when I was young. I’m currently living in Bronte.

What’s your favourite beach?
Bronte. It’s a beautiful and unique place down there. I really hope the council doesn’t mess around with it too much with all their signage and new ideas. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Also, Bronte reef is arguably the best wave in Australia.

What’s your favourite eatery?
For lunch, Out of the Blue and Flaming Rooster are good options. For dinner, there is an unreal restaurant up at Charing Cross called Uyen Vietnamese. It’s the best Asian food around and their salt and pepper squid is second to none.

Where do you like to have a drink?
My kitchen is great when I fell like a cold refreshing drink with lots of ice. I also enjoy a drink in my living room as the bar fridge is never short of a frosty beer. The bathroom is also good. We have an attachment that can turn the tap into a bubbler in an instant. It’s amazing.

Do you have a favourite sporting team?
I love rugby league and the Roosters are my favourite team. I have been following them since I can remember. The grand final win in 2013 was probably the best day of my life.

What music are you into at the moment?
My iTunes is getting a little outdated and I probably need some more music, but I listen to anything really. My favourite songs generally include a harmonica solo.

Who is your favourite person?
Anyone who knows me well enough would know the answer to this. After so many great years it is, of course, Anthony Minichiello. My girlfriend Jess is a very close second.

What do you get up to on the weekends?
There is always something to celebrate come the weekend. If there is surf then I like to get out there as much as possible.

What do you do for work?
I am currently working with the School of Aviation at UNSW.

Do you have a favourite quote?
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” I like the idea of making the most of whatever life gives you, no matter how bad it may seem.

Any other words of wisdom for readers of The Beast?
You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean. If a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty. Therefore humanity accepts it is fine to piss in the ocean.
