Local Favourite – Paul

Favourite Beach: Tamarama. A beautiful, magic beach. I enjoy surfing there most mornings, on my kneeboard, before work.
Favourite Eatery: Balusu’s South Indian Food, 259 Bondi Road. I find that it is curry nice food.
Watering Hole: I mostly drink peppermint tea, so for me a watering hole is where I get rid of some of the peppermint tea.
Sporting Team: The main sport that I follow is surfing, which is exciting, fun and great to watch.
Music: Pop music from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, as on 2WS – Elton John, Rod Stewart, Abba, The Beatles, Neil Young, etc.
Person: I admire and appreciate Eckhart Tolle, a new age teacher who wrote ‘A New Earth’. He has wonderful ideas on how we can be accepting and loving of our self, our life and everyone and everything.
Weekend Activity: I like to surf at the local beaches, mostly Tamarama or Mackenzies Bay or Bronte. I also like to go bushwalking in Sydney’s great National Parks and picturesque coastal areas.
Quote: “Love is all there is.”
Favourite Thing About Your Work: I like interacting with and talking with lots of the interesting and openhearted people who live in Bondi and elsewhere. I am happy to encourage and help people to be healthy, fit and enjoy their lives.
Final Word: It is a beautiful world full of beautiful people.

Beautiful words from a beautiful man. RIP

Such sad news. Paul was our pharmacist for the past thirty years until we moved a year ago. He was always smiling and did his best to help everyone.. Joan, Nev and Steve Rodwell.

I lived in Bondi for over 20 years & Paul was our chemist. He always gave wise counsel to me & my family & was more interested in our health than his profit margin. He had a wonderful “new age” attitude to life & was one of the first pharmacists to embrace alternative medicine. I hadn’t seen Paul for the best part of 10 years & was shocked & saddened to read of his early death. RIP.

“Love is All There Is” and “It’s a beautiful world full of beautiful people”. Thank You Paul, for your wisdom, clarity, kindness and love. Often I would drop by the pharmacy and would still be there chatting and connecting with him 2-3 hours later. As I walked into the pharmacy he would light up and yell ‘Kim! It’s you!’ We always lit up when we saw each other …. he was wise, patient, humble, loving, compassionate, funny. He would say “you’re the only one who laughs at my jokes”. I will always miss you Paul.

What a great, great man. He has been my pharmacist for the past 12 years. I’m to sad to walk in there at the moment. Your customers loved you, your staff loved you. I will miss you very much. xxx
