Bondi Beach resident Vix Erber (the original Bondi Vixen) is the pioneer of women’s group
fitness on Bondi Beach and the proud owner and CEO of Bondi Vixen. Vix shares her local favourites with The Beast…

How long have you lived here?
I’m third generation born and bred Bondi. My late grandparents stepped off the plane from World War 2 in Europe and landed in Warners Avenue, Bondi Beach, where they lived the majority of their lives. My family are original Bondi locals, a rare breed around here!

What’s your favourite beach?
Is this a trick question?

What’s your favourite eatery?
Porch & Parlour for brekky, Paris Café for lunch and Beach Burrito for dinner.

Where do you like to have a drink?
The Bucket List is my favourite. I love kicking back on the couches and people watching. The staff are so friendly and cool and I always have the best time there.

Do you have a favourite sporting team?
The Roosters (just for the perve).

What music are you into at the moment?
I’m obsessed with INXS since the TV series. I love the Stafford Brothers but I can’t live without old school hip hop.

Who is your favourite person?
Kristie my BFF is definitely up there, but the one that puts a smile on my face at all times and makes me laugh constantly is my (very well known) pug, Oscar.

What do you get up to on the weekends?
Train, go out for brekky or lunch, chill on the North Bondi grassy knoll in summer and the Bucket List most weekends.

What do you do for work?
I’m one of Australia’s first personal trainers with 22 years’ experience. I am the pioneer of women’s group fitness on Bondi Beach and the proud owner and CEO of Bondi Vixen – fitness for beach babes. That is my world!

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
I love working on the beach, so I’m lucky to be living my passion. I take enormous pride in the results achieved by my clients and it’s my life purpose to empower women and guide them to achieve their health and fitness goals. There’s nothing better than changing the lives of women through education, motivation and inspiration.

Do you have a favourite quote?
“She believed she could, so she did”. As the saying goes, we are the creators of our own destiny!
