January Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down

Up – Arthur Beetson – The Roosters legend passed away during the month and by all accounts he was a top bloke.

Down – Cab Fares – Having to pay $25 to get from Clovelly to Paddington is an absolute joke.

Up – 2012 – There’s nothing quite like a fresh start and with 2011 now behind us we’re looking forward to the New Year.

Down – Litterbugs – And that includes smokers who drop their butts. Yes retards, cigarette butts are litter!

Up – Affordable Summer Fruits – Peaches, nectarines, mangoes, bananas and apricots are now available at reasonable prices!

Down – Ankles – If you don’t roll them on the touch footy field you’ll do it falling down steps when you’re drunk.

Up – Outdoor Film Festivals – Flickerfest, Moonlight Cinema, Bondi Openair and Tropfest are all fast approaching.

Down – Head Gaskets – If our old Land Rover had a temperature gauge we wouldn’t have to fork out to replace one of these.

Up – Gay Marriage – It’s 2012; let’s just get on with it. Why shouldn’t everyone have the right to marry the person they love?
