Tom Dwyer has lived in Clovelly for nineteen years. “I’ve lived in Clovelly for as long as I can remember. Apparently we moved here from Balmain when I was one,” Tom told The Beast. Tom is a professional pizza delivery driver, Beast magazine distributor, occasional flyer deliverer and full time engineering student. Tom shares his local favourites with The Beast…

Favourite Beach: As far as surfing goes, Bronte, hands down! I’ve been floating around down there since I was about ten and so have most of the other guys who surf there. Everyone knows each other and that’s pretty cool, considering it’s in the middle of a big city. Cloey, Gordons and Tama are also always good for a swim when it’s warm.

Eatery : Stock in Charing Cross do a pretty good breakfast, Three Blue Ducks make the best steak sandwich ever and Little Gourmet on Bondi Road make a doozy pizza.

Watering Hole: There are plenty of good options around Bondi. Beach Road gets more than its share of good live music, BB’s is perfect for a laid-back beer and Ravesis is on the way between BB’s and Beach Road.

Sporting Team: Roosters when they occasionally win.

Music: I’m easily pleased, anything with a good beat, catchy riff or clever lyrics will do. Some of the stuff they play is slightly questionable, but on the whole Triple J hits a pretty good balance.

Weekend Activity: I’ve never been disappointed by a trip down the South Coast.

Quote: “The unexamined life is not worth living.”

Favourite Thing About Your Work: I get paid to hang out with mates and steal ideas and experience from successful businessmen.
