Facing Anxiety Self Help Groups

The Facing Anxiety Self Help Groups are free self help groups for people with panic, fears, phobias, anxieties and obsessive compulsive disorders.

The Facing Anxiety program is run by the Mental Health Association NSW.

The groups are a structured 12-week program and meet weekly.

The groups follow a structured, self-exposure program and are run by trained leaders. Members determine their own goals and then the step-by-step gradual exposure assists them to overcome their fears. In addition, they are taught how to control anxiety, to keep a diary and how to deal with possible setbacks.
