Rose Bay Challenge Kayak Race
The second Rose Bay Challenge starts at Tingira Reserve just next to the RSL Club in Rose Bay at 8am.
The race caters for all paddlers including surf-skis, sea kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and outriggers and from experts to novices. There are short 8km and long 16km course options, with the long course featuring “portage” meaning kayaks are carried along the beach, adding to the spectacle.
The race, which is the third in the Paddle NSW harbour series, is hosted by the Shark Island Paddlers and benefits the Paraplegic Benefit Fund.
