The Archaeology of Shelter
The latest exhibition of abstract assemblage works from artist/actor Geoff Morrell at the Bondi Pavillion Gallery is the result of 4 years collecting material from the renovation of his one hundred and fifty year old workers home in the Southern Highlands.
“The Archealogy Of Shelter” is an exhibition of works made from linoleum, wood and tin all sourced from the interior of one home. Geoff’s process of cutting the materials into small pieces and rearranging them, reveals hidden beauty and colour in the familiar patterns of childhood memories.
