Video of the Week – Plonk

This week’s Video of the Week comes courtesy of the good folk from Destination NSW. In a bid to promote the hell out of NSW’s amazing wine regions they’ve created a series of five piss funny videos based around the making of a fictional wine show called ‘Plonk’.

Chris Taylor does a great job of sending himself up as the host of the show and there are also a number of great cameos from winemakers and celebrities alike – in the fifth episode you even get to see Clovelly resident Matt Moran taking a pee!

For too long the wine industry has taken itself far too seriously and thus, this campaign takes a far more lighthearted approach to the subject matter. After all, heading to wine country for most of us is essentially just about getting on the booze.

If this series doesn’t make you want to have a weekend away tasting wines with the missus or your mates, I’m not sure what will.
