THE VAVOOM FEST BRINGS ROCKABILLY AND KUSTOM KULTURE TO SYDNEY

The 1950s are swinging into Sydney with the inaugural VaVoom Fest set to showcase the best local and international rockabilly and kustom kulture from 11th to 13th March, 2011.

On display will be an incredible range of American muscle cars, hot rods, custom classic cars, bobbers and choppers and custom Lowrider push bikes.

The Pinstriping Corner will play host to some of Australia’s best pinstripers thanks to experts in the industry, Pinstriping & Kustom Graphics Magazine and Advanced Airbrush.

Providing the Festival soundtrack will be some of Australia’s best rockabilly bands including West Texas Crude, The Flattrackers, The Firebirds, The Atomic Hi Tones and No Brakes.

Festival goers can wander through a raft of stalls selling the best in vintage and 50s fashion, shoes, jewellery and accessories. Or put on their dancing shoes and let loose with the free jive and rock ‘n’ roll classes. Children will be kept entertained with games and activities held throughout the day.

VaVoom Fest ticket buyers will also receive entry into the largest tattoo convention in the southern hemisphere, the Sydney Tattoo & Body Art Expo. Visitors to either event will have the chance to win a 2011 Street Bob® Dyna® motorcycle with custom paint job of their choice, valued at $30,000. See website for more information.
