The National Food Plan (2013) scoped the opportunity for Australia to increase its agriculture and food related exports by 45% by 2025.

The Australian agrifood industry is constantly facing challenges in production, processing and supply to meet the growing need from international markets, particularly from an increasingly affluent middle class in Asia.
