Increasing choice for older Australians receiving care at home

As a consequence of announcements in the 2015 Federal Budget, the forthcoming Aged Care Approvals Round for home care packages will be the last.

The ACAR will be abolished after that with packages to be allocated directly to consumers rather than providers from February 2017, paving the way for a significant shake-up of the home care sector.
