Meet the Author: Mark Dapin
Almost 50 years to the day that the first national service birthdate was drawn from a lottery barrel, author Mark Dapin discusses his 2015 Nib People’s Choice Prize winning book, ‘The Nashos’ War: Australia’s national servicemen and Vietnam’. Drawing on the accounts of over 150 former national servicemen, it records with extraordinary intensity the change from being a bank clerk one day and fighting for your life in the jungles of Vietnam soon afterwards.
