Jacqualine Breakspear ‘Bondi Summer’

Art2Muse Gallery presents Jacqualine Breakspear’s latest body of work ‘Bondi Summer’ – a continuation of her interest in capturing beach culture. Breakspear explores her fascination with the “spontaneity, joy, abandon, or quiet contemplation that a trip to the beach evokes”. Inspired by the great tradition of famous works featuring the beach and bathers by artists including Cezanne, Picasso and Gaugin, as well as the iconic Australian images of Max Dupain, the world famous Bondi Beach serves as a backdrop for her exploration of “colour and light, the figure in motion, and unguarded moments”.
