Screen Citizens: Film: Starstruck
The recent National Film and Sound Archive digital restoration of the 1982 cult classic, Starstruck, directed by the then, up and coming Gillian Armstrong, is heading to Bondi to re-live it’s rock musical drama in all its new glory. This fun, lively film, full of colourful 80’s costumes, hair and music is about two teenagers dreaming of becoming rock stars, and is set to propel the audience right back to the 80s Sydney pub and music scene. Local film Producer David Elfick will join film critic Peter Castaldi to talk about the making of the film, cult classics and local Australian stories.
