Car Free Day at Centennial Parklands!

By ugc on July 15, 2011 in

Car Free Days have been a popular feature of Centennial Park since 1992.

They are held on the last Sunday of every season.

On Car Free Days, the vehicle gates and internal roads within Centennial Park are closed to cars, offering visitors a great chance to take a stroll, enjoy a bike ride or rollerblade without vehicular traffic.

So why not leave the car behind, grab a ball or frisbee, and make use of the many cycle paths around your area that lead to Centennial Park.

There will be a coffee cart operating at Learners Cycleway, and a mobile ice-cream truck operating around Centennial Park’s Grand Drive.
