A Musical Prosperous Journey
The Eastern Suburbs Chamber Orchestra and Choir (ESCO) will perform its fourth 2014 Concert on Sunday, November 23, at Waverly’s St. Mary’s Anglican Church, “A musical prosperous voyage”. The Choir’s performance of Beethoven’s rarely heard cantata for orchestra and choir, “Calm Seas and Prosperous Voyage” will precede a presentation of the Johann Sebastian Bach Oboe concerto in F major to be performed by 19 year old Eastern Suburbs oboist, Ennes Mehmedbasic, this year’s winner of Fine Music 102.5 Young Virtuoso Award. The concert will conclude with Schubert’s splendid sixth symphony.
