Atong Atem – Photos that Matter

Atong Atem is cool. And not just in an ‘I love your top’ way. She’s cool like caring is cool; like being ridiculously smart is cool. She’s a photographer who draws from her South Sudanese heritage to create photos that explore the notion of blackness. Her exhibition at Customs House runs Feb 13 – May 28.
