Banksia Buddies

Science and nature themes are explored in each Banksia Buddies session, which includes a short presentation (story, song and science demonstration), followed by free play with hands-on activities, art and craft. Session themes change each week.
1. Welcome to Spring! – Children discover the art of birds nest making, flower printing and mini-beast life cycles.
2. Boats, Bubbles, Buoyancy! – Children explore the science of floating and sinking by making their own boats and by looking at the water birds of Centennial Park ponds.
