Cambodian Childrens Orphanage Fundraiser

The Chapel By The Sea, Bondi Beach will be the venue for a great evening fundraiser in support of the Cambodian Children’s Trust (CCT) and their partner in Australia, Green Kids Global (GKG), on Thursday May 26 from 7pm.

The work of the CCT was featured on the ABC’s Australian Story and featured the inspiring story of the orphanage and its young founder, NSW Young Australian of the Year Tara Winkler.

The CCT is a non-profit NGO running projects to help break the cycle of poverty in the Battambang region of Cambodia by providing practical long term support to some of Cambodia’s most vulnerable people. CCT helps the children overcome their backgrounds of abuse and neglect and break the cycle of poverty by providing them with the best possible health care and education.

More on the orphanage can be found at www.cambodianchildrenstrust.org.

CCT’s work in Cambodia is being supported by Green Kids Global (www.greenkidsglobal.org). Working in partnership with CCT, GKG aims to create a sustainable ‘Eco Village’ to provide housing and support for up to 200 vulnerable Cambodian children.

The evening will include Cambodian food, music, screening of part of Australian Story documentary, a fundraising auction and a raffle with some great prizes.
