DROP-IN ACTIVITY: SOAPSTONE MAMMOTH CARV
Make your own mammoth sculpture using real tools and natural materials!
Ages: 7+ years
Get inspired by the traditional and powerfully simple carvings of Ice Age animals made by Palaeolithic humans and carve your own soapstone mammoth using sandpaper and water. Adults will also enjoy this creative activity.
Drop-in anytime between 10.30am-2pm.
Note: Carving can take around 1 hour to complete. Oiling is to be done at home when soaptone is completely dry. Tung oil provided is a nut product.
