Exhibition – Rosella Namok
This is Namok’s second Sydney show since joining Coo-ee Gallery, offering collectors and audiences a range of artworks that convey the distinct, bold and evocative abstract imagery that has come to typify the artist’s style. Fresh from a collaboration with the Houston Ballet, Namok has produced this series of works with renewed perspective on the idioms of place and belonging. Centered around the mood and fluctuations of daily life in her community in Far North Queensland’s Lockhert River, Namok’s fluid lines and luminous palette convey the deep affection and attachment she has for her home.
