The Filthy Art Festival is part of National Youth Week 2011 and is an all day event held at Maroubra Beach. Art activities include pavement chalk art and Randwick Council’s new recycled art prize. This year the recycled object is a skateboard and art can include any style or medium including sculpture.

What is the Recycled Art Prize (RAP)? RAP is a reuse art competition which awards artists who turn recycled objects into art work. This year, entrants must use an old skateboard and turn it into an artwork using any art style, including sculpture.

Who can enter? RAP is open to people between the age of 12 to 25 years who live, work, study or attend leisure activities in Randwick City.
How do I submit an entry? Entries must be delivered to the Filthy Art Festival at Maroubra Beach Pavilion by 11am on Thursday 14 April. Judging will commence at 11.30am. Entries will be displayed until 3pm.
