LISSA DE SAILLES BASKETRY WORKSHOP
Making a Catalan Platter or tension tray is a fun & easy way to learn about basic basketry techniques. The tray can be used for functional purposes as well as funky wall pieces. We begin by making a wreath and placing a double spine which holds the weavers (ribs) in place. The weavers are held by a simple over and under technique which is then secured by pairing another set of weavers to bind the ribs. A number of materials can be used to make them. Discover your creativity with a new twist! 9.30am – 4pm. Includes materials, morning tea & lunch. New member gift voucher. Bookings (02) 9231 8182
