Mapping Memories Through Dance in Tukre’
FORM Dance Projects and Riverside Theatres will present the contemporary dance work, Tukre’, that explores how cultural lineage can be communicated and shared through objects and movement.
Tukre’ (meaning pieces in Hindi) will see Raghav Handa, an Australian choreographer and dancer of Indian heritage, create a memory map of his ancestry through music and dance. The performance is an exploration of the connections between our past, present and future as well as the importance of family – even when they are thousands of kilometres away.
