Mapping Sydney

Mapping Sydney is an ongoing project by French born artist,
Caroline Bouquet. She is constantly looking for landmarks,
anchors, lighthouses, waves and their lines. As quintessential
Australia icons these motifs help her to connect to a new home
as she comes to understand this new place and her position in
it.
This exhibition tells the story about distance. France and
Australia have always been linked by history which Caroline
celebrates in her cartographic work. It is a show which
considers home and away, near and far, elsewhere and
presence.
