Pacific Island Sway
Ohana’s rhythms will take you on a musical journey through the islands of the Pacific.
Be swept away by the strikingly beautiful blend of Polynesian cultures, with lyrics in native tongue accompanied by traditional instruments.
From the smooth harmonies of Tongan ‘hiva’ songs, the graceful storytelling of Hawaiian ‘auana’ music, to the sweet beckoning of Tahitian ‘aparima’ melodies and the lively reggae influence found in Samoan and Fijian favourites.
You will be transported to the tropics as the pulsating “toere” log drums erupt and the strumming of ukulele and guitar accompany hypnotic voices.
Music will be accompanied by dancers, making this event a visual spectacular.
