Paramnesia
In his first solo exhibition Woollahra-based South African emerging artist Keroshin Govender blurs the lines between fact and fantasy with “Paramnesia.” The alluring portraits, forming the core of the exhibition, are of creative and esteemed personalities from the world of music, design and architecture. Shimmering bronze and gold contrasted with a palette inspired by the artists African and Indian heritage create a truly unique sensory experience. Growing up near the ocean has also clearly paid an important part in choice of subjects, with recurring themes of marine animals woven in.
