Paula Jenkins: Lifeblood

Lifeblood is inspired by Paula Jenkins’ local landscapes around Walcha in the northern tablelands of NSW. Her pieces are particularly influenced by the current unrelenting drought which continues to affect so many primary producers in the area, and as such she has had a desire to focus on the lifeblood of the land – water. Paula’s distinct style depicts the essence of Australia’s landscapes using predominately oils, and her works are known for her bold use of colour, textures and mark-making to form her landscapes and compositions.
