Remembering Babylon
6.00pm Exhibition Opening, Artist floor talk and drinks.
Remembering Babylon is an exhibition exploring the role of Libraries and the legacy of all its counterparts, community support and promotion of the arts. Books are moulded and cast using nothing but dust from the library itself and resin. As if resurrected, each book stands and is titled in place of an actual book which has either been stolen or lost from the library. The dust, the excess and proof of people’s movement and use of the space, conspires to keep lost knowledge alive.
