Royal Botanic Garden: Basketry Workshop
The ancient art of paper-making meets contemporary basketry. Learn how to make delicate coiled basket sculptures with self-made paper cord and waxed linen thread. The workshop begins with learning the ancient art of string making, and you will then be shown how to begin a coiled form.
Please bring small found objects and natural material to embellish your baskets.
Includes materials, morning tea and lunch.
Where: Joseph Maiden Theatre, The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
When: Saturday 19 March | 9.30 am – 4 pm
