Royal Botanic Garden: Walk & Talk

By ugc on March 1, 2016 in

Join the Royal Botanic Garden’s volunteer guides for a talk and walk focusing on the first impressions gained by Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander when they landed at Botany Bay in 1770 with Captain James Cook. Find out about the plants they collected, the fauna they encountered and about their interaction with the Aboriginal people. The walk will take you through the Solander and Cadi gardens, as well as a visit to the Herbarium / Red Box Gallery to see examples of the actual specimens collected by Banks and Solander.

When: Wednesday 16 March | 10 am for 10.30 am to 12 pm
