Screen Citizens: Film: The Rocket
The Rocket (2013) is an Australian drama film set entirely in Northern Laos, and spoken in Lao language. It follows the story of a boy who is believed to bring bad luck to everyone around him but to prove he’s not bad luck, he builds a giant rocket to enter the most exciting and dangerous competition of the year: the Rocket Festival. Join film critic Peter Castaldi and local film makers Writer/Director, Kim Mordaunt and Producer Sylvia Wilczynski
