Multi-Grammy award winning cellist Eugene Friesen (USA) joins Melbourne chamber ensemble The New Palm Court Orchestra as guest soloist for his Australian debut appearance including concerts at the Sydney Opera House’s Utzon Room and Melbourne Recital Centre Salon in March 2014.
Boston based cellist Eugene Friesen is active internationally as a performer, composer and teacher. He is widely regarded for his ground-breaking work on the cello particularly in regards to improvisation and for his work with the famous Paul Winter Consort of which he is a long time member of more than 30 years.
