TWINING TRICKS BASKETRY

In this workshop students will create a basket with a circular base using both cane and plant fibres. Tutor, Flora Friedmann, will introduce you to some of the tricks of “twining” (weaving with 2 weavers consecutively) & three rod waling (weaving with 3 weavers). Choose between two borders to finish your basket – a padded track border or a woven border. There will be a comprehensive worksheet to take home.Suitable for beginners to more experienced weavers.Weaving materials will be provided.Includes morning tea and lunch.Bookings essential(02) 9231 8182.New member gift voucher.
