Three million Australians are living in silence with depression or anxiety and without the proper treatment this can lead to suicide. Liam Zollo, the man behind an event known as the Biggest Boxing Class, knows this all too well. He once stopped a close family friend from committing suicide and ever since that experience he has been thinking of a way to raise awareness for Suicide Prevention Australia. The Biggest Boxing Class was the answer.

“The reason I chose boxing was because I knew it had a direct link towards the prevention of anxiety and depression,” Zollo said.

“I have been an outdoor boxing instructor for seven years and seen so many clients who suffer from these mental illnesses become happier individuals when they invested their time in my boxing classes.”

Zollo needs 387 people to attend the class on Saturday, November 23 to achieve a Guinness World Record. The boxing class will be a unique fitness experience and a great way to meet other locals while raising awareness for mental health disorders.

Rugby league stars Shaun Kenny-Dowall and James Tamou will be there on the day and will happily meet and greet anyone who leaves a donation.

All you need is your gym wear and a donation to be a part of the event, so get down to Maroubra Bowling Club with friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues and help the boxing team raise vital funds for Suicide Prevention Australia.
