Clovelly Community Bank school-based trainee Phoebe Pearson, who is currently completing a Certificate II in Business with the bank, recently took out this year’s 1300 Apprentice Award for School-based Trainee of The Year.

Phoebe is successfully progressing through her studies while at the same time completing her Higher School Certificate. Her dedication to the job has seen her undertake further study with the bank, which means that she will be ready to take on extra duties when she has finished her schooling.

The Clovelly Community Bank Manager, Peter Swan, said he is impressed by Pearson’s attitude and work ethic.

“Customers have complimented the bank on what a great job she is doing and how helpful and pleasant she is,” Mr. Swan told The Beast.

Mr. Swan was pleased to announce that The Bank has offered Pearson a full time position at the Clovelly Community Bank when she has finished her HSC.

Understandably, Pearson was happy about the offer and gracious for the opportunity.

“I never thought about working at a bank until a careers advisor suggested that I should do a traineeship at the Clovelly Community Bank, which I have really enjoyed and I am fortunate to have been offered a full time position straight out of school. I recommend any young student to take on a traineeship,” Pearson said.
