April Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down
Up – Gossip Magazines – Imagine doctor’s waiting rooms without these magnificent pieces of literature.
Down – The NSW Floods – We whinge about the rain in Sydney but it’s far worse for our mates out west.
Up – Footy – Like Bruce Willis, it’s back with a vengeance and we’re pumped, regardless of the code.
Down – Dress Regulations – At clubs, fair enough, but who cares if you wear thongs to a beachside pub?
Up – Glamping – If you can’t get the missus to rough it, glamorous camping is the next best thing.
Down – Daylight Saving’s End – On April 1, the best half of the year is officially over. Wind your clocks back one hour.
Up – Manly Ferry Beers – The best way to get on the harbour – it’s just a pity you end up in Manly!
Down – One Day Cricket – Has anyone else had enough of cricket by the time March comes around?
Up – Veggie Gardens – Forgotten what real vegetables taste like? Make space, plant stuff, be happy.
