Meet Doug Purdie, President of the Sydney branch of the Amateur Beekeepers’ Association as he presents his new book, Backyard Bees: A guide for the beginner beekeeper and gives a fascinating insight into beekeeping in urban areas.
A self described ‘beevangelist’, Doug currently manages more than 70 bee hives located on rooftops, balconies and in backyards from Bondi to Marrickville.
