Brighter Than You Thought

Surf beastie artist, Rob Schafer, holds his first international art exhibition at Darlo’s TAP Gallery from 5-7 October 2012.

Over 45 of his paintings on display heavily influenced by the ocean, Japanese Godzilla movies, teethy Jurassic dinosaurs, Fauve naievty and the flaired imaginations of Spanish artists like Picasso, Dali and Goya.

“Schaf” worked with John Kaldor for over a decade in both Sydney and New York where he developed his passion for vibrant colour, and shaped the beginnings of his own “raw, freshness” in his work.
