Dementia Awareness Month 2017 workshops
According to research conducted by Alzheimer’s Australia and Deloitte Access Economics, the prevalence of dementia within the Drummoyne area is on the rise. Research estimates suggest almost 1,200 locals are currently living with dementia and by 2050 the prevalence of dementia within Drummoyne will more than double to 2,438 people.
The community is encouraged to attend a free community forum about dementia, conducted by Alzheimer’s Australia NSW in association with Scalabrini Village on Monday 18th September, from 10:00am to 12:00pm as part of Dementia Awareness Month.
