The area encompassing East Oxford Street, Waverley Street and Bronte Road to Charing Cross is a great place to kick start the New Year’s resolutions while burning off those Christmas kilos and having a quick makeover for those endless summer parties. With a great bunch of shops, it caters for all you New Year needs – there are gyms, hair salons, pole dancing classes, pilates boutiques, laser hair removal clinics and health food stores – more than enough well-being to satisfy your every want!

Stamp out that guilty feeling of overindulgence from the Christmas break and jump into Brasilfit to buy a new outfit so you can look as sleek as possible while working out at your favourite gym – I recommend Elixr Health Club. If you’re already deciding what new outfits to buy once the kilos start to drop off after all the aforementioned exercise, you can’t go past the fantastic designer clothes from European Elegance on East Oxford Street and TS14+ in Waverley Street Mall. And while you’re there you might as well buy some carrot cake from Baker Friday or a salad from EAT – at least that way you’re being half good, kind of!
