Eighty years with a brush
Bondi Pavilion Gallery presents a retrospective exhibition of the work of local artist and teacher Effim Novak, a celebrated Russian painter who now gives tuition to students from across the Eastern Beaches of Sydney. Having painted since he was a young child, Effim went on to study Decorative Arts at the Moscow State University, he served as a pilot in World War 2 and boasts an extensive career as an industrial designer; but painting has been the constant throughout his life.
