Randwick resident Celia Finger has settled in nicely since moving from Brisbane and provides quality healthcare at Bronte Family Doctors. Celia shares her local favourites with The Beast…

How long have you lived here?
I have been an Eastern Suburbs girl since moving to Sydney from Brisbane in 1996.

What’s your favourite beach?
Coogee for running, Clovelly for relaxing and Bronte for swimming; it’s better still to take a walk from Coogee to Bondi taking them all in. We are spoilt for choice!

Who is your favourite person?
Am I allowed to say my massage therapist, Stuart Davis, at Chirosports Randwick?

What’s your favourite eatery?
Bistro Avoca has been my special occasion restaurant for years. Friendly service, great desserts and within walking distance of home!

Where do you like to have a drink?
I think the new Coogee Pavilion will become a fave pretty quickly. It has a great vibe and community feel.

Do you have a favourite sporting team?
Being fiercely loyal, go the Broncos! It’s great to hear that Wayne Bennett is heading back home.

What music are you into at the moment?
The ambient grooves playing in my flow classes with Yoga Synergy.

What do you get up to on the weekends?
A spin around Centennial Park, lunch at one of our fabulous beach cafes and, if the weather is good, a sail on the spectacular Sydney Harbour.

What do you do for work?
I am fortunate to work in a great team providing quality healthcare to the families of the Eastern Suburbs and beyond at Bronte Family Doctors.

What’s your favourite thing about work?
Watching the babies develop and grow into young people, and the connection you make with the families. Empowering parents to manage their children’s health is very satisfying.

Do you have a favourite quote?
“Never assume. It makes an ‘ass’ out of ‘u’ and ‘me’.” It’s not particularly deep, but it keeps me open-minded.

Any other words of wisdom for readers of The Beast?
Having travelled to third world countries, if you are reading The Beast, you are privileged. Appreciate everything, hug your loved ones daily and don’t sweat the small stuff (and most of it is small).
