March Thumbs Up, Thumbs, Down

Up – Diamond Pythons – We had a two-metre specimen living on our balcony down the coast and it was absolutely beautiful.

Down – Pet Rights Advocates – Some local pet owners have lost the plot and think their pets’ rights are more important than those of humans.

Up – Autumn – We rarely wish for the end of summer but this one has been horrendous. Let’s hope Autumn turns things around!

Down – Super Bowl Hype – We can’t work out what’s with everyone’s sudden obsession with this tedious American crap.

Up – Homeland – If you’re not big on 60 Minutes, this show on Sunday nights on Channel 10 is pretty bloody addictive.

Down – Biopsies – Sure, removing that chunk of tissue may save us from skin cancer, but that doesn’t mean it’s in any way pleasant!

Up – The Pod – The newest surfboard in The Beast’s growing quiver is the funnest thing fiberglass has ever been shaped into.

Down – Coffee Prices – Sorry, but $4 for a regular coffee is ridiculous – Zoo Café in Bondi Junction, I’m talking to you!

Up – Bicycles – Despite the lycra-clad twerps who often accompany them, bikes are actually bloody good things.
