Up – The Beast Baby – Monty James Hutton was born on August 28 weighing 3.78kg. He is an absolute legend and so is his mum!

Down – Hospital Food – The five days spent in hospital with Baby Hutton was blessing for the post winter weight loss regime.

Up – Ferries – By far the most enjoyable mode of public transport. They make a trip to the city feel like a day on the harbour.

Down – Winter Weight Gain – If, like us, you’re as big as a small (but still unaffordable) house, now is the time to do something about it.

Up – Darren Lehmann – He hasn’t got the best record thus far but comments calling for ‘Broad abuse’ will make for an interesting summer.

Down – Election Hangover – The pole posters will probably remain for another few months but at least the rest of the palaver is over.

Up – The Local Derby – We’re crossing our fingers, toes and everything else for a Roosters v Rabbitohs NRL grand final?

Down – Big Brother – Good on Nine for cleaning it up but it’s just not the same without the nudity and disgraceful behaviour.

Up – Australian Soccer – We made the World Cup again so it’s time to get into ‘football’. A-League season starts on October 11. Get excited.

Down – Spring 2013 – I usually love spring and look forward to it so much, but after the winter we’ve had it’s kind of lost its lustre.
