Royal Botanic Garden: Birdhouse Workshop

By ugc on March 1, 2016 in

Learn ancient basket weaving skills to weave a birdhouse – or strictly speaking, a nest box. The birdhouse may become home to birds that nest in hollows, or it may be a gorgeous decorative feature for your garden.
This birdhouse has been designed with features to suit several species of native birds, and to exclude myna birds. Tutor Meri Peach, who has a background in biology and basket making, will guide you through weaving and twining techniques using locally available plant fibres.

When: Saturday 21 May | 9.30 am – 4 pm
Where: Joseph Maiden Theatre, The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
